Mallorca at your own pace: Palma, Sóller and the southeast coast

A relaxed nine-night road trip combining historic streets, mountains, village cafés and coastal downtime. The schedule is flexible: choose your own dates and accommodation for the Palma and Can Pastilla stays.

Nights 1–3 — Palma (3 nights)

Settle into Palma for three nights. Wander the atmospheric old town, visit La Seu cathedral, enjoy tapas and cafés, and stroll along the waterfront. You don't need a car in the city: pick up a rental car when you're ready to leave.

Nights 4–5 — Port de Sóller (2 nights)

Drive into the Tramuntana mountains and check in for two nights at Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel in Port de Sóller. Enjoy the harbour, beach and sunset, with time to explore Sóller and its historic tram.

Day 6 — Fornalutx coffee stop, then the southeast (1 night)

After checking out, make a short detour to Fornalutx. Park outside the narrow village centre, walk to the main public square (Plaça d'Espanya) and stop for a coffee. Then drive towards the southeast of the island for one night at Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó, in the countryside near Ses Salines, within easy reach of Santanyí. Enjoy a quiet rural evening.

Nights 7–9 — Can Pastilla (3 nights)

Drive back towards Palma Bay and spend the final three nights in Can Pastilla. Enjoy the beach promenade, swimming and relaxed seaside restaurants. Return the rental car when convenient; the airport is nearby.

Travel tips: Expect winding mountain roads near Sóller and Fornalutx. Allow plenty of time for scenic stops and check the hotel's exact address before navigating. This is an example nine-night itinerary based on three nights in Palma and three in Can Pastilla; either stay can be shortened or extended. Hotel availability and opening times have not been checked.
